Wasted in final edits preorder and release date TBD This is Book One of Pick Your Poison Trio.
Unburn Our Bridges – Investigative journalist turned bestselling romance novelist is thrust back into close proximity with her estranged husband when her last undercover assignment threatens her new life.
My story On the Rocks will be featured in Heroes with Heat and Heart Volume 2 releasing June 2022 Honky tonk bar owner is forced to into protective custody when the random accidents turn out to not be so random.

Why do you write?

I have to the characters will not leave me alone. Once a story starts to form in my head, I’m compelled to write it down.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Everywhere. I consume a lot of media including tv, movies, and music. I also find photography is very inspiring to me.

Any writing related tips you would like to share?

Read as much as you can. I know as writers, reading seems to take up time, but it helps us see new perspectives, and meld ideas or heck just get in the mood to write. Sometimes when I have writer block, the book I’m reading will inspire or solve a problem I was having with my own story. Even if they aren’t related. Because my brain hops around a lot, it can link a two totally different things but in a way that it inspires my next move.

Any advice for new writers?

Write a lot. Take classes if you can. Learn to write the best book you can and don’t be afraid to scrap projects and start over.
Get beta readers and ask people to read what you wrote, then weigh their advice against your instincts. More often than not, your first instinct is the right one.
Don’t overthink things, keep it simple and let the em

Anything else you would like to share about your writing or writing process?

I often watch tv, movies or listen to music, but they are usually media I have seen 100 times so I’m actually ignoring it most of the time.

Tell us about any hobbies?

I love to craft. Especially around Christmas. My favorite are Dollar Tree crafts on Youtube and Pinterest. I also love to bellydance and create content. Sometimes when I have writers block I’ll create random content for someone else just to get my mind past whatever issue I’m having.

Any pets?

3 cats and one puppy. A cairn terrier like Toto, and I live in KS.

Favourite music genre and/or artist?

I have way too many and my tastes are eclectic. Jewel, Josh Turner, Aayliah. I love r&b, rap (mostly old school, 90s anything (country, grunge, rock, pop), and of course Carrie Underwood.

Favourite TV series?

It’s impossible to pick but my top five of all time. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dollhouse, Burn Notice, and Scrubs.
I’m rewatching Dollhouse and its very inspiring, this show was amazing.

Favourite food/meal?

Tacos, but we make them a special way. Corn tortillas fried up, baked beans, taco meat and cheese. Baked beans can be substituted for pork and beans but its not as good. I also like to roll them up in enchiladas, cover in cheese and bake until crisp.

Favourite season?

Fall. Spring has too many tornadoes. Summer is too hot to enjoy it and Winter is too cold. I like Fall for the holidays, the colors and the temperatures.

What genre/s do you like to read?

I’m weird. I read my own genre and many others. I love time travel, but I also love a good romantic suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat. My favorite is dark romance and I read a lot darker than I write.

What are you currently reading or what was the last book you read?

I don’t know if I should admit this because I loved this book. Untouchable by Sam Mariano. It was so dark, but I couldn’t put it down. I’m starting The Wrong Heart again by Jennifer Hartmann, I had to put it down to finish a deadline, and just what I’ve read has gutted me.

Any book recommendations?

Follow me Darkly Series by Helen Hardt
Phantom by RJ Gray
Ruthless Creatures (the whole series)

Do you have a favourite author?

Helen Hardt and RJ Gray are ones I read a lot of, but not really. I have so many that are one-click for me but I can’t who’s my favorite because I’ve devoured the backlist of many authors including Robin Covington.

Anything else you would like to share about your personal life or interests?

I hated romance for so long until I met the man of my dreams and I don’t say that lightly. We have been married for 17 years and weathered some tsunamis in that time. Yet we are still standing. I like to write about what happens after the wedding and he’s largely why. After this long, he still makes my heart skip a beat when he walks through the door. I want to share with the world that feeling can get stronger as we age, not fade away.
